These fun party favors are perfect to hand out at any patriotic-themed party. An American flag shooting star filled with chocolate M&Ms so everyone will enjoy them!

Supplies You’ll Need to Create this Project:

Shooting Star SVG Design:
To begin, you’ll want to grab the Shooting Star SVG Design.
Cut the File in Cricut Design Space:
Upload the SVG file into your cutting software, I use Cricut Design Space.
The cutting file is sized to fit the Creative Expressions Star Treat Cups perfectly, so there is no need to resize it.
Select “Make It” and follow the prompts to cut the design out of 3 different colors of cardstock.
There are a total of 6 pieces to be cut for each shooting star treat cup.
Assembling the Patriotic Treat Cups:
The largest white piece is the base layer, so we will be building the design up from this piece.
Also, I use two different types of glue. I prefer tape runners for papercrafts, but there are some pieces where a tape runner doesn’t work so I use precision glue instead. You can use whatever glue you are most comfortable with.
Apply glue to the back of the star blue stripe, turn the piece over, and lay it on top of the white base piece. Align the blue piece with the top and right sides of the base piece.
Repeat for the red stripe, this time aligning with the bottom and right side of the base piece.
Turn the star treat cup upside and fill it with red, white, and blue M&M’s in a single layer.
Apply the tape runner around the flat edges of the star treat cup.
Adhere the white star to the back of the treat cup.
Add tape runner to the back paper of the treat cup.
Center the star treat cup over the star portion of the base piece and press it into place.
Apply glue to the back of the blue star frame and place it on top of the star treat cup.
Apply glue to the back of the red star frame and place it on top of the star treat cup. Press down around the edges to make sure the pieces are stuck in place.
That’s it! Now you’re done and ready to give out cute little patriotic stars.
